New residential community brings endless surfing...

There’s a new wave coming to Los Cabos — literally.

A just announced private residential club, Cabo Real Surf Club, is making a splash as the first North American community to feature an Endless Surf wave basin at its core.

Developed by Meriwether Companies (with partner Michael Schwab, son of Charles Schwab) in collaboration with the Sanchez Navarro family, the Surf Club is set within the established 3,000-acre Cabo Real masterplan in Los Cabos, Mexico, and promises a new type of coastal living — one driven by sport, wellness, family, and longevity.

Set between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, the club combines the adventure-forward spirit of Baja with next-gen surf tech and luxury real estate.

More than 200 homes are planned for the surf-centric community, ranging from custom estate lots and ocean-view villas to wave basin-adjacent Surf Casitas. And early buyers are already on board: the project launched with a $50 million founders’ sales phase, all before a single wave rolled through.

At the heart of Cabo Real Surf Club is a cutting-edge Endless Surf wave basin, a high-performance aquatic playground that can create hundreds of customizable waves per hour.

Whether you’re a beginner, traveling with kids, or looking to carve like a pro, the tech allows for waves up to seven feet tall and rides up to 25 seconds long — with endless variation.

Homes designed for ocean views and family time

While the surf park might be the star of the show, Cabo Real Surf Club is just as focused on creating permanent, liveable homes that blend Baja’s natural beauty with thoughtful design.

Every home in the community comes with exclusive access to club amenities and the opportunity to participate in the community’s membership program.

Available real estate includes estate lots, ocean-view villas, and more

So far, four main residential options are planned:

  • Estate Lots – Generously sized parcels with sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez and the surrounding mountains, ideal for buyers looking to build their own custom dream home
  • Ocean-View Villas – Four- and five-bedroom homesites, offering elevated vantage points and seamless indoor-outdoor living
  • Boardwalk Homesites – Situated right on the shore of the wave basin, these lots come with pre-designed residences by award-winning Mexican architecture firm Sordo Madaleno

Coming soon: Surf Casitas

The fourth residential option is possibly the one closest to the community’s core. A collection of Surf Casitas will offer three bedroom homes just steps from the surf basin, with prices expected to start at $2.5 million.

Not just surf — world-class golf, racquet sports & wellness, too

Cabo Real Surf Club isn’t just about waves.

The Robert Trent Jones II-designed golf course, already considered one of the top championship courses in the region, is undergoing a multi-million-dollar refresh. Once complete in 2025, the plan is to convert the course to a fully private experience reserved for Cabo Real Surf Club members and their guests.

Also in the works:

  • Private beach club on one of Los Cabos’ few swimmable beaches
  • Golf clubhouse with spa, gym, recovery zone, and outdoor pool
  • Racquet sports center with pickleball, tennis, and Padel
  • Mountain biking and hiking trails woven throughout the landscape

Adventure continues beyond the gates of the community too, with the Baja Peninsula offering deep-sea fishing, diving, and world-class surf breaks just a short drive away.

A new kind of private club for a new kind of buyer

Cabo Real Surf Club marks a notable shift in luxury residential development, tailored not around formality but fun, fitness, and freedom.

Meriwether Companies and the Sanchez Navarro family are betting on the next generation of buyers: ones who value wellness over wine cellars, outdoor time over screen time, and a long, active life filled with family and friends.

The perks will only be available to the community’s home owners

Located just 20 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport, with direct flights from major U.S. cities, Cabo Real Surf Club is designed to be easy to reach and hard to leave.

Membership is reserved exclusively for real estate owners, with all amenities limited to residents and their invited guests.

Expected to open in 2026

Construction is underway now, with the Endless Surf basin, residential infrastructure, and upgrades to the Robert Trent Jones II championship golf course expected to open in 2026.

The community’s design is focused on active, multi-generational lifestyles, built for families who would rather paddle out than sit still.
